Retrōspicere | Berlin

In Retrōspicere (meaning; 'to look back’) past imagery is taken from the An Irrational Element archive and curated into a visual novella as to reflect and conjure feelings, memories and thoughts.

When returning from Paris Fashion Week to showcase the SS24 | 014 collection last June I took the time to go through some of my scanned film negatives. The past period I had neglected & forgotten what was in my archive of photo negatives and whilst going through them again I found the pictures I took in Berlin from a trip in the summer of 2022 together with two of my dear friends (& Louis). At the time it was my intention to share & describe these images shortly after returning with a vivid memory of the trip. While a year has now passed and the vivid memories have turned into sentimental echoes I feel that the Retrōspicere segment lends itself perfectly to showcase these omitted images.
